- TRAPPEY
Trappey was our first dog. We went to the local shelter to look for “mutts”! My husband had an instant liking to this poor guy behind the bars. He was a beautiful dog; they estimated 8-9 months. We “renamed” him after one of our favorite hot sauces, “Trappey’s Red Devil” hot sauce. He came with a few issues, I guess that might be expected from the pound. He was too timid to play with toys, but quickly learned to trust us, love his toys, and would not harm a fly. He lived a good life of 14 1/2 years. Not bad for raising a pig and eventually, a very big puppy named Barley!

- GRAVY
Gravy was 9 weeks old and not very wanted by his mom anymore when I bought him. He is a registered Potbelly Pig and was very scrawny for a couple years. After we moved into our current home, and put in a big grass yard he had made up for lost time! The down side was, now we had a home with tile floors. So we had to buy lots of area rugs to aid in his way around the house. (Cuz hooves don’t tread easy on slippery tile!) He has always had a bed made fit for the finest, ...the gravy life. Which is why he was named Gravy, not after the food, but the lifestyle!

BTW, yes, he does sleep inside the house, with his own comforter and pillows:)

Gravy was born in 1993, Jan. 1st. a New Year baby, and currently, has out lived his pals, Trappey and Barley, and now unfortunately, Cooper, too.

- BARLEY
Have you ever had the feeling that you’d do anything to clone your dog? Barley is one of those dogs. We knew both parents, mom mostly, but the dad lived across the street from her. She was a Chocolate Lab and dad was a Catahoula Leopard Dog. An incredible mix I’ll probably never find again. His soulful eyes would sink right into your heart like an angel on four legs. He was 110lbs. of love Barley was named after an ingredient in our favorite beverage, ...beer. It was always funny to find bones vertical on the floor. You knew it was Barley’s sign!

- COOPER
Oct. 6th. 2006 I was at work looking thru the classified ads for Catahoula puppies, lo and behold an ad for “Cadahoula’s”! OK, so it was misspelled, but I knew what they meant! I was so excited! We went and I was immediately struck by one puppy. Unfortunately, they had docked their tails, but some people do. We named him Cooper for the markings on his face, after Alice Cooper, he even had a little black line from the corner of his mouth! He was such a funny puppy! When summer came, we learned that he was deathly afraid of ceiling fans! It took awhile, but he got over it, he spent about 3 months looking up:) He’s been a great dog! Our first “pure bred”. Rest In Peace; You were taken too soon! Show all the dogs in heaven how to smile! 8/20/06-7/10/11
